A modern lighting enhancement for American Truck Simulator that replaces outdated static flare effects with realistic dynamic flares, creating a more natural and immersive nighttime driving experience.
Key Features
Realistic bloom-based dynamic flares
Enhanced light reflections with improved color and density
Flare appearance adapts to the color and shape of each light source
Smooth transition between dynamic and distant flares
Improved headlight, taillight, beacon, and auxiliary light appearance
Applies to player vehicles, AI traffic, and various in-game objects
Unlike Realistic Vehicle Lights, which relies on traditional static flare textures similar to the base game, Dynamic Flares replaces nearby flare effects with dynamic bloom that adapts to the actual color and shape of each light source.
As lights become more distant, the mod smoothly transitions back to flare textures to maintain long-distance visibility without sacrificing realism up close.
The result is a cleaner, more modern lighting system that delivers a more realistic and immersive driving experience throughout the world.

Why is Dynamic Flares installed using an EXE instead of a .scs file?
Dynamic Flares requires additional game configuration changes in order to provide its bloom-based dynamic flare effects. The installer automatically applies these settings and installs the mod, making the setup process quick and simple.
The installer only installs the mod and applies the required game configuration changes needed for the mod to function correctly.
