Platform Guide

Platform Rules

The standards every player and creator must follow to keep Modsy safe, fair, and fun.

These rules apply to everyone using Modsy. They protect creators, players, and the games we support. By using the platform you agree to follow them.

For creators

  • Upload only original work or content you are allowed to distribute. No stolen or reuploaded mods.
  • Respect copyrights, trademarks, and each game’s EULA. Remove anything that violates a studio’s policy.
  • No malware, exploits, or harmful code. Mods must be safe for players and their devices.
  • Use accurate titles, descriptions, tags, versions, and compatibility info. Do not mislead players.
  • Choose the correct game and category. Misplaced mods may be removed.
  • Keep your mods updated and archive outdated builds so players install supported versions.
  • No spam, advertisement-only uploads, or link farming.

Content boundaries

  • No hate speech, harassment, or targeted abuse.
  • No pornographic, excessively violent, or otherwise prohibited content.
  • Respect platform-wide safety features, including moderation decisions and archive requirements.

Community conduct

  • Be respectful in comments and discussions. Disagreements are fine; harassment is not.
  • Use reporting tools to flag stolen content, abuse, or safety issues instead of retaliating.
  • Do not impersonate creators, staff, or other users.

Earnings integrity

  • No attempts to inflate downloads, favorites, ratings, or follows through bots or coordination.
  • Payouts can be paused or clawed back if fraud or manipulation is detected.
  • Provide truthful payout details and comply with any verification required to release funds.

Moderation and enforcement

  • Mods may be set to pending, approved, or archived based on rule compliance and quality checks.
  • Reports from users are reviewed. Confirmed violations can lead to removal, account restrictions, or permanent bans.
  • Repeated or severe violations may lead to loss of earnings, removal of content, or disabling of upload access.

Staying compliant

If you are unsure whether something breaks a rule, err on the side of caution or contact support before publishing. We want creators to thrive and players to feel safe every time they use Modsy.
