Platform Guide
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers on downloading, publishing, safety, and payouts across the platform.
How do downloads work?
Every mod page shows the active build, compatible game versions, and a changelog from the creator. Guest downloads are enabled, but signing in gives you follows, notifications, and a cleaner library. Downloads are logged for analytics and payouts.
How do I publish a mod?
Create an account, become a Modder at /become-modder, and use the upload flow to add details, screenshots, and files. Mods enter review, move to Approved once cleared, and can be archived when outdated.
What counts toward my earnings?
Points are awarded on eligible downloads using country-based rates and fraud controls. Only the first download from the same IP within 24 hours earns points, and totals convert using the platform rate of 100 pts = $1. See your ledger and per-mod breakdowns in the Modder Dashboard.
When can I request a payout?
Each payout method has a minimum threshold (defaults to 1,000 points) plus its own timing. Add your preferred method in the Dashboard, hit the threshold, and submit a request. Statuses move from pending to approved or paid once processed.
Why didn’t a download increase my points?
Points ignore repeated downloads from the same IP during the 24-hour cooldown window. The download is still recorded for analytics, but it will not earn duplicate points. This keeps payouts aligned with real player demand.
What files and media can I upload?
The current limits are a 150MB mod file, up to 10 images (3MB each), and 3 optional videos. Add a concise summary, full description, compatibility tags, and a changelog to help players choose the right build.
Can players download without an account?
Guest downloads are enabled on this deployment. When disabled, sign-in keeps mod analytics, follows, and notifications accurate for both players and creators.
How are reports handled?
Mods and comments include built-in reporting. Flag issues like stolen content, malware, or harassment and the team will review, pause payouts if needed, and remove content that violates the Platform Rules or Terms of Service.
