How do downloads work?

Every mod page shows the active build, compatible game versions, and a changelog from the modder. Guest downloads are enabled, but signing in gives you follows, notifications, and a cleaner library. Premium mods require a signed-in account so access can be checked before download. Downloads are logged for analytics.

How do I publish a mod?

Create an account, follow the How to Become a Modder guide, then activate your modder account at /become-a-modder. After that, use the upload flow to add details, screenshots, and files. Mods enter review, move to Approved once cleared, and can be archived when outdated.

Can I sell premium mods on Modsy?

Yes. Approved creators can start with the free Launch plan or explicitly choose a paid Creator Membership plan. Active Creator Membership unlocks premium publishing, and supporters can receive access through Patreon or Lemon Squeezy subscriptions, including credit card and PayPal checkout where available through the payment provider.

Will Modsy automatically upgrade or charge my Creator Membership?

No. Supporter and linked-revenue measurements are advisory. They can explain which plan may fit, but they do not automatically choose a paid plan, create a charge, start a threshold deadline, or restrict your commerce. You must explicitly initiate and confirm every paid Creator Membership checkout or plan change.

What happens if I cancel a paid Creator Membership?

Cancellation stops renewal. Paid features remain available through the provider-confirmed paid-through date, then premium management becomes read-only until another approved membership arrangement is active. Modsy does not delete or automatically hide your existing content because creator billing ends, and supporters keep access they have already paid for according to their own entitlement period.

How do players unlock premium mods?

Sign in, open the premium mod page, and choose one of the modder's available access options. Some premium mods may use Patreon, some may use Lemon Squeezy subscription checkout, and some may offer either path.

Where can creators find setup guides?

Open the Creator Documentation for step-by-step guides to Patreon, Lemon Squeezy, and Desktop App Auth API. Desktop developers can also use the Desktop Auth API reference.

What files and media can I upload?

Your Creator Membership plan shows the normal mod-file, image-size, and image-count limits that apply to your uploads. Every mod can also include up to 5 optional videos. Add a concise summary, full description, compatibility tags, and a changelog to help players choose the right build.

Can players download without an account?

Guest downloads are enabled on this deployment. When disabled, sign-in keeps mod analytics, follows, and notifications accurate for both players and modders.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Profile Settings > Security, then enter your username in the delete account section. Once the username matches, the delete account button becomes available. Account deletion permanently removes your profile and associated content where deletion is technically possible.

How are reports handled?

Mods and comments include built-in reporting. Flag issues like stolen content, malware, or harassment and the team will review and remove content that violates the Platform Rules or Terms of Service.
